Goods and services at MCEC
We know our suppliers and contractors are key to our success. And we’re accountable for the process of procurement.
So, we always look for innovation and great value when sourcing goods and services while following the rules set by the Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB). And we're not just in it for the business. We're committed to making positive social and environmental impacts, too.
At MCEC, we're all about fairness in trade and follow the highest ethical standards. All suppliers get an equal shot with us.
In late 2021, we launched a 2021-2023 Social Procurement Framework to align with the Victorian Government social procurement guidelines.
Its aim is to ensure that value-for-money purchasing considerations are not solely focused on price: they'll also encompass opportunities to deliver social and sustainable outcomes that benefit the local Victorian community.
We released the framework as part of a transformation programme, currently underway to align with the Victorian Government State Purchasing Contracts.

MCEC treats any concerns relating to a procurement process or decision seriously. We are committed to responding promptly to any enquiries or complaints.
