The ACETIE is supported by China Council for The Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Victorian State Government, and partnered with the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) and China Chamber of Commerce in Australia (CCCA). Founded in 1973, the ACBC has branches in all the major cities across the country and plays an influential role in the Australia-China economic and trade cooperation area as an advisor to the Australian Government. Founded in 2006, CCCA is a non-for-profit organisation jointly formed by Chinese enterprises in Australia and has hundreds of members across the country. The ACETIE organising committee is chaired by the Hon Andrew Robb AO, former Australian Minister for Trade and Investment. Mr Robb negotiated Free Trade Agreements with China, South Korea and Japan, as well as the 12 country Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) free trade agreement and the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Singapore.
