80,000 Gaming Fans Descending on MCEC This Weekend for Pax

MCEC is excited to welcome 80,000 visitors to the building this weekend for Australia’s biggest gaming festival, PAX, the first one in-person since covid.
PAX Australia is a celebration of gaming and gaming culture featuring thought-provoking panels, all held across three full days at MCEC.
After switching to a digital format last year, the massive three-day gaming festival is back in person with a packed schedule of panels and expo halls to tabletop gaming sessions, cosplay championships and tournaments.
PAX offers the community the opportunity to meet with old friends, make new ones, interact with game developers, publishers, and brands, and get hands-on with everything they love about gaming.
MCEC is proud to host such a big event for the gaming industry which is now worth $3.41 billion to the Australian economy. Hosting this event also supports the Victoria Government’s aim to make Victoria the home of Australian game tech. With 85% of Digital Gaming studios based in Melbourne MCEC is the perfect venue for PAX.
Peter King, Chief Executive of MCEC said he is thrilled to see PAX back at MCEC.
“We love seeing the vibrance and excitement of PAX at MCEC, and to welcome so many visitors across one weekend is what we love about this venue.”
“PAX is a celebration of culture and we are proud to be hosting it in person again.”
