Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has been chosen to host the world premiere of Château Merveilles, a highly anticipated immersive experience combining the best of French cuisine with jaw-dropping audio-visual effects.

The multi-sensory experience is coming to Melbourne for one night only and will entertain more than 1,000 guests on 22 October. Pairing immersive 360-degree visuals with a boundary-pushing four-course menu with champagne, the experience has been described as a technological and emotional odyssey celebrating the rich culture, artistry and culinary heritage of France. Headlined by three world-renowned chefs Guillaume Brahimi, Pierrick Boyer and Quentin Zerr, the menu puts the best of France on the plate while guests are transported to the country’s most iconic and recognisable landmarks through panoramic visual projections. Melbourne will host the first instalment of an ambitious world tour visiting Qatar, South Korea, Bahrain, and China. “Our experience hosting The Lume Melbourne showed us first-hand the power of immersive storytelling. Château Merveilles will take this to the next level, creating a truly unforgettable dining experience at MCEC,” said Natalie O’Brien AM, Chief Executive at MCEC. With state-of-the-art technology at the heart of the event, MCEC's successful multi-year partnership with The Lume helped position the venue as a natural choice for event organiser, Allegria Agency.

"We pride ourselves on partnering with event organisers to create truly bespoke and memorable experiences. Château Merveilles is a prime example of that partnership in action, bringing together Allegria's bold creative vision with MCEC's operational capability and world-class event infrastructure," said Angie Becker, Chief Sales and Customer Experience Officer.

"There's nothing else like it anywhere on earth, and it only happens for one magical evening. This show isn't just something you watch, it's something you live from the inside out," said Baudouin Lacoste, Founder and CEO at Allegria Agency, organiser of Château Merveilles. To deliver the event at scale, MCEC's culinary team will work closely alongside the guest chefs to prepare and serve more than 4,000 plates across the four-course menu, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and unforgettable experience.
