Public Catering plays a major role in the MCEC's exhibition business and it has introduced three new concepts called Go Food, Go Gourmet and Go Coffee which is taking food catering in Melbourne to a new level.
To accommodate the large numbers of visitors to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre when there are trade shows and public exhibitions on, kiosks are located inside the exhibition bays. Each kiosk provides space to sit down and enjoy your meal and there are also public toilets, vending machines and phones located nearby. Kiosks can also be divided into two separate areas to provide independent service to separate bays when required.
The food and beverage cart is also designed to take food to those who can't necessarily get to the kiosks. Fully motorised, the vehicle is fully stocked with hot and cold drinks as well as a wide range of food items. Ideal for crew or exhibitor catering, the cart can be used either on the loading docks or the exhibition floor.
Go Food
There is so much to see and do at exhibitions, that visitors need high energy levels to keep going. That's why kiosks are located throughout the exhibition centre to offer the perfect place to stop, grab something to eat and keep going.
Service is friendly and efficient and GO Food offers a wide choice of high quality snacks that are healthy, fresh and tasty. If something more substantial is needed, items such as Asian-style noodles or fresh fish and chips are always popular.
Go Gourmet
Go Gourmet has been created specifically with visitors to trade shows or large public exhibitions in mind. At these events, patrons often spend longer at the exhibition and as such have more time to dine.
Food in Melbourne is famed for it’s quality, so GO Gourmet offers a bistro-style menu with emphasis on freshness, variety and quality and can also be served in custom-built food courts, which can be erected on the exhibition floor to better cater for large numbers.
Go Coffee
Go Coffee is the latest addition to the ‘GO’ brand and features state-of-the-art mobile coffee carts that offer a high standard of product and service.
